SummerFuel SAT Crash Course
To celebrate the launch of the Book&Table iOS app, Founder/CEO Maurice Wright is providing free crash courses on the new SAT exam to schools in the Tri-State area.
Maurice is a Columbia University graduate who has been an ACT/SAT tutor since 2009, helping local students with all facets of their admissions preparation including application essays and athletic recruitment.
Visit his Book&Table profile here to learn more about Maurice's background and teaching style.
Day 1: The new SAT -- what's the difference?
Day one of the crash course is for both parents and students. Parents are invited to join a one hour seminar during which Maurice will discuss the format of the new SAT, the differences between the SAT and ACT exams, and college admissions tips he's provided over the years to help his students gain admissions into the country's top institutions. While parents are with Maurice, students will be taking a full-length SAT diagnostic exam.
Day 2: How to Improve My Score
Day two is for students only. During this session students learn about the structure of the SAT, timing techniques, and a few problem-solving strategies for the individual question types. Students will leave understanding what their diagnostic score means, their strengths and weaknesses, and how to setup a study schedule that will allow them to prepare for the spring and fall exams without feeling overwhelmed.
